We all need back links, but can submitting links to various social bookmarking websites create any value for your link building campaigns? It’s a simple question I have been trying to weight the pros and cons.

Pros:

  • Viral links – Your links have a huge opportunity to get voted upon, shared, retweeted, dug and much more. Each network creates a unique way for users to share and view submitted content. A must for all bloggers who need more traffic.
  • Instant indexing – Social bookmarking allows your website, blog, or web page to be quickly picked up by the search engines without having to wait a few months to get listed. Who wants to wait, take advantage of these networks and start getting traffic right away.
  • Link building – Variety is key, one single technique is not enough. Social bookmarking is a great secondary source of back link creation that will offer your links value.
  • Keep friends updated – This is what social media is all about. keep your friends in the loop, share your latest blog posts, links, and status updates with your whole network.
  • It’s FREE – Last but not least social bookmarking is free.

Cons:

  • No results – It’s hard for everyone’s submissions to go viral. Try optimizing your title, description, and tags for maximum exposure. Creating eye catching titles will help funnel a lot of traffic back to your website or blog that can convert into huge profits for you.
  • Negative comments – It’s bound to happen to you, we all have different opinions. Sometimes negative comments and feedback can oppose the wrong message about your submission and damage your message.
  • Time – Most of us just don’t have the time to keep up with each network and really engage and with the online community. Joining in the conversation will help build new relationships for you and open the door to new opportunities. You will have to pick a handful of networks that best suit you and your niche, and really milk it.

I would encourage social bookmarking just as long as you do not rely on it for link building efforts entirely.

Which social bookmarking site gives you the best results? Let me know in the comments.

Social media has started to become a household name. The amount of mainstream social networking websites has grown in popularity exponentially. Beyond Facebook, Twitter, and Linkedin many niche social networking websites have proved they can hold there own. Social media has almost had a bigger impact on the world as text messaging has in just a short period of time. I believe social media will become the most widely used form of communication in the world in the near future. If you have not jumped on board yet it’s not to late…

Social media has a lot of great features to keep any age group happy, but how can we extract the opportunities from the spam?

If you already spend a lot of time on various social networking websites you can probably relate to this. Linkedin and other business networking communities give us the power to network with millions of potential business partners all from the comfort of our own homes & mobile devices. That’s not even the best part, it’s free. Allowing these networks to allow members to join for free creates the opportunity for many spammers to ruin it for the rest of us.

Here are Five tips to help you extract the good opportunities from the bad ones:

  1. Don’t take, take, take make sure you are always adding value to the conversation or the relationship you are trying to build. Others will notice you this way and allow for new JV’s or other opportunities to come up.
  2. When opportunities arise be open to what others are sharing. That old saying comes to mind “never judge a book by it’s cover” because you never know what one may have to offer.
  3. The issue might just simply be that you are looking for the wrong personality or skill set. Try looking for someone that can off set your skills. Linkedin and other professional networking websites will allow you to modify search results and really tailor your search efforts.
  4. Social media gives you the opportunity to interact and partner with those in more than 150 countries in the world. This can give you a huge advantage in your area of business or leave you up sh*ts creek without a paddle. Make sure you know the person can work independent but at the same time be a team player if you go this route.
  5. Joining groups associated to your niche market can help filter out any unwanted candidates and help you focus on exactly what you need. Trying to target your niche will keep you open to opportunities related more to what your looking for.

Social media is here to stay, I think we should all embrace it, now that we know how to avoid the spam.

Thanks to Dr. Herbert Nagasawa, Cell Gevity, and of course Max International for creating the ground breaking formulation found in Max ATP 3 energy drinks.

Here’s what Max ATP can do for you:

• Fuels ATP production by providing optimal amounts of ribose, a critical ATP precursor
• Replenishes energy reserves and helps fight fatigue
• Neutralizes free radicals
• Builds ATP in heart and muscles
• Assists with the conversion of food to energy
• Increases vitality
• Features RiboCeine™ to support production of glutathione to neutralize many different types of free radicals

That all sounds fine and dandy but what is ATP?

ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, is your body’s most basic form of energy and is produced in every cell. It powers our cells, organs, and, by extension, our bodies. Many different components are required to produce ATP.

ATP in our bodies is like the battery in a car. Everything in the car is dependent on the energy from the battery. When the battery power runs low, the lights in the car begin to dim and the performance of the car starts to suffer. However, when the battery power is re-charged or restored, performance returns to normal and the car functions exactly how it was designed.

Show fatigue and low energy who is boss. Buy Max ATP Now!

We all find ourselves constantly being bombarded with social media. We can’t even watch TV now a days without companies advertising their Facebook or Twitter pages. Is this the future? or are we going through a phase?

I think social media is here to stay. Social media benefits to many people for it to just slip to the wayside like that. If you have a simple Facebook profile or you are a member of over 50+ social networking websites you can see the value these networks provide us. Such value as connecting, collaborating, reuniting, and ability to broadcast your talent to the world. People visit these websites on a daily basis, sometimes spending over a few hours a day talking to friends and family. This has opened a huge market for advertisers to target specific niches with age/location specifications. For example Facebook’s ad network  has become extremely popular as of late and may surpass Google Adwords in coming years.

Social Overload? Joining every social network out there beyond Facebook or Twitter could really give you that niche traffic and exposure you were looking for. To join each network and create your profile is a great first start but how can you find time to update them on a regular basis? I recommend http://www.ping.fm this service can take care of a majority of your networks for you with a click of a button.

What does this mean for bloggers? well if your on the right side of the fence it could mean new opportunities, more taffic, increased sales, and improved SE rank. It all sounds fine and dandy but that’s just not how it works for the great majority of us. It could just be we are overloaded with social media to know how much time to dedicate to each site based on our expected results. I would recommend spending 5 minutes each day updating and connecting with others on all social networks until you get a feel of which networks require more of your time.

Social media is the future online why not embrace it. If you are not capitalizing on this huge free opportunity then you are limiting yourself from your full online potential. Social media could turn your blog, website or online business into the online empire you always dreamed of.

Creating Link Wheels as part of your link building campaigns became very popular over the last few years. The idea of linking each web 2.0 property to one another in sequence via your keyword associated anchor texts was very appealing. Finally creating a link back to your website from each article submission, blog comment, and web 2.0 post you made. To ensure success you have to promote each inner link wheel you just made; articles, blog comments, and web 2.0 posts to create more value for your link wheel efforts. Social bookmarking is a popular choice for creating  outer link wheels.

Example:

Is this link building strategy still viable today? Can I still use these methods and have success?

Blogging isn’t always easy, especially when your just starting out. If you are new to blogging you have to get over that 3-6 month hump before you start to get search engine traffic to bring your blog to life. Some of you Pro Bloggers know what I mean, it’s not as easy as just writing posts a couple time a week and just sitting back with your feet up. You have to engage with your blog and your readers, to find your unique style that others would find important enough to want to come back. You could have a great blog with great content, and full of personality but if your readers are not engaging back in conversation and your bounce rate is high, your blog will never lift off the ground.

I do not want bloggers out there getting discouraged or feel they have to quit, pack up and go home. What I realized is that it takes time. I could go on for hours writing about time and how much of an impact it has on our daily lives but as a blogger it takes time to have search engine feed you traffic, build a following, and most importantly build a blog that has authority in it’s niche. Encouragement is another great way for bloggers to help each other stay motivated and persevere the hard times. Joining social networks, forums, and groups give bloggers the opportunity to connect, share ideas with other people who feel the same way about blogging as you.

5 Blogging tips to help you just hang in there:

  • Persevere
  • Always look on the bright side
  • Time can also be a good thing
  • Engage with your readers and blogging community
  • Don’t forget to stick out a little bit, people like something different every now and then.

You should be blogging for the right reasons, if your not that may be whats holding you back from your full potential. If stay unique and write quality content your blog will eventually get noticed and meet its full potential.

Should a quit their blog just because its not getting noticed? and why? share your thought below.
